LHS students place in congressional art contest

Ava Paitz wins top prize in contest, two others place

Congressman Adrian Smith personally called three Litchfield students with exciting news on the last week of school: They had placed first, third, and fifth overall in the Congressional Art Competition.

The top honor went to senior Ava Paitz, daughter of Scott and Heather Paitz. Her winning artwork, Waving Patriotism, earned her a trip to Washington, D.C., where she will be recognized at a special reception and have her artwork displayed for a year as the representative piece for Nebraska’s Third Congressional District.
