Answering the call

I have a small list of items that I hope that I am lucky enough in life to get to experience; however, for many of those items on the list, luck is the only way that I will be able to check them off.

A prime example is jury duty.

I think that, as an American, it is a responsibility that we must eagerly embrace when asked to serve on a jury. However, having lived in rural counties most of my life, the opportunity has never presented itself. In fact, I kind of hope that it never does. Yet, if by chance I get a summons notice in the mail, I will be ready.
