Students participate in National History Day contest

The National History Day (NHD) contest was held June 14th until June 18th at College Park, Maryland. Twelve Loup City students participated in the contest with five projects.

The performance team (Radium Girls) of Tayler Obermiller, Kaily Kurtzhals, Grace Augustyn, and Morgan Rademacher were awarded the Outstanding Nebraska Senior Division Project medals.

They were also in the finals in the performance category by placing in the top ten There were 121 teams that competed. Other students competing were: Hudson Obermiller and Braxton Gallaway, website/Harlem Hellfighters; Eric Lewandowski and Blake Day, performance/ Omaha Union Stockyards; Chance Ritz and Wyatt Trompke, documentary/ Mother Bloor and the Loup City Riot; and Beth Lewandowski and Kallie Hruby, website/ All-American Girls Professional Baseball League.
