Critical Dates: The first date to remember is the due date for turning in your Vendor applications. The price is still twenty-five dollars which gets your sale into the Shoppers Guide and also gets you two posters for advertising.
Unseen by the vendors but still important is the collation of hundreds of vendor ads into each towns section of the Shoppers Guide. That process also includes mapping your site.
Applications are available from Chuck at the Loup City Diner. The countdown continues with the publication and distribution of the Shopper Guides which takes place early in September. Finally, the Junk Jaunt will happen from Friday – Sunday, September 25th through 27th. Jaunters will want to note that Nebraska will be playing at Michigan State on the 26th, so set your DVRs to record! After twenty-two years, it never ceases to amaze the 20,000(+) Jaunters how much “stuff” is still here in mid-Nebraska! It has also become a social event; Some families not only sell, but family buyers have contests, scavenger hunts and get-togethers. This year the Junk Jaunt itself will host a Scavenger Hunt with prizes including free Shoppers Guides and Gas cards for the next year!
