Beck, Lang honored in Litchfield in 1960

SHERMAN COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY

Old Settlers Picnic recognized Litchfield’s oldest man and oldest woman as part of their 1960 event. Mrs. William Beck, then eighty, was presented a corsage and George Lang, then eighty-six, was presented a tie clip at the recognition program.

Mary Heapy Beck was born in 1880 and raised on a farm north of Litchfield. She lived in a sod house for ten years near Litchfield.
