This week, I have decided that every spelling error in the paper is the fault of one person.
Mrs. Jane Loewe. Loewe, a long-time educator at Palmer Elementary School who helped promote countless students out of the third grade—including yours truly— passed away last Monday in Lincoln. While my entire hometown is mourning the life of Loewe and remembering the long legacy she leaves behind in Merrick County and across the state, we are also celebrating.
If there was ever someone whose life needed to be celebrated, it was that of Mrs. Loewe.
