HOLCOMB RETIRES AS CITY’S PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR

For more than two decades, Kevin Holcomb has been integral to the project of keeping Loup City running.

Water, sewer, streets, parks, snow removal, cemetery work, and mowing have all, at one point or another, fallen under the responsibilities of Holcomb, who will retire Friday after more than twenty-one years as the city’s public works director.

Holcomb came to work for the City of Loup City in May 2005 for a “change of pace,” after spending his adolescence and prior working life as an auto and diesel mechanic at the Arcadia Service Center.
