Arcadia/Loup City’s Dutch Miller is no stranger to the cross country course at the Kearney Country Club after running there twice during his sophomore season.
That experience on the state course paid off for the junior on Monday, as Miller fought his way through a field of 354 Class D runners to place fourth in the competition at the University of Nebraska at Kearney’s (UNK) Class D Cross Country Invite.
Miller completed the course in 16:52.10 on Monday. The junior finished behind two familiar opponents, as the Rebel ran against both Kaser Johnson of Doniphan-Trumbull and Coltan Ham of North Platte St. Pat’s earlier this month at the Ravenna Invite. Johnson won the Class D meet on Monday in 15:55.2, while Ham took second in 16:33.9.
