In early June, forty- six veterans were honored in Loup City, two in Litchfield, one in Rockville, and five in Ashton on Sherman County Hometown Hero banners. The banners will be taken down for the winter and re-hung next year in time for Memorial Day. There are hundreds more veterans in Sherman County, so please get your hero forms submitted so they can be included in the project The cost per banner is $100. Anyone interested in sponsoring a banner for other veterans or helping support the cost of additional brackets to hang the banners, please leave donations at Heritage Bank payable to Hometown Heroes.
