A series of changes occurred to Loup City’s municipal government at a special meeting of the Loup City City Council last Wednesday, September 23rd. That evening, the council accepted Laura Hart’s resignation from the mayor’s seat, as well as a series of other changes in city government. As a result of the meeting, former city council member Andrew Iske is now the city’s acting mayor.
Last Wednesday evening’s special meeting began at 6:45 p.m. It lasted approximately twenty minutes.
The main object of the meeting was the formal acceptance of Hart’s written resignation as mayor, dated September 18th. However, that move followed an initial shift in council leadership.
