Wilke Heil retires after decades in academia

Linda Wilke Heil recently retired after thirty-seven years at Central Community College, concluding a career that included teaching social science and history and directing the college’s paralegal program.

Wilke Heil, a 1979 graduate of Ravenna High School, has lived in Rockville with her husband, John, for nearly twenty-five years. She began working at CCC in 1989 and officially retired on September 1st. She spent roughly the last two decades of her nearly forty-year career teaching her passion: history.

“I’ve always been interested in history,” Wilke Heil said. “I just love it. I love the research part. I enjoy the writing. It was just a good fit for me.”
