The Department of Veteran Affairs recently awarded grants to 191 community organizations to provide suicide prevention services to veterans across the country. Central Nebraska Community Action Partnership was awarded $667,380 in funding for the veteran program for fiscal year 2027.
The Funds are made available through the Staff Sergeant Parker Gordon Fox Suicide Prevention Grant Program. The Fox grant program extends Veterans Administration’s (VA) suicide prevention efforts into communities to reach veterans who are not connected to VA care.
The SSG Fox grant administered by Central Nebraska Community Action Partnership covers a service territory encompassing sixty eight counties in the state. For more information about the SSG Fox program, please contact the CNCAP office at (308) 745-0780.
