Highway 2 construction to be pretty “cut and dry”

Work began last Monday, May 5th on about six miles of Nebraska Highway 2 in southern Sherman and northern Buffalo counties.

The undertaking spans from Highway 2’s intersection with Nebraska Highway 10 west of Hazard, down to the vicinity of Sweetwater. A small section of Highway 10 near the intersection will also be included in the work.

Werner Construction, of Hastings, is the contractor for the project. Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) Project Manager Jerry Woodgate said last week that the term of the contract is from May 5th until November 1st, but that work could be completed as soon as September.
