Memorial Day to be observed Monday

The annual Loup City Memorial Day observance will be held at Evergreen Cemetery on Monday, May 26th, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

The ceremony will commence with the Advancement of Colors, led by Commander of Troops Earl Norseen. The Loup City Post 48 Color Guard will participate, including members of the American Legion Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Sons of the American Legion, and the American Legion Post Auxiliary.

Following the posting of colors, Commander Chuck Radtke of Post 48 will present the welcome address and lead attendees in the Pledge of Allegiance. The National Anthem will be performed by Cole Russell, a student from Loup City High School.
