Do you think you have what it takes to make the best kolaches around? Then come and test your baking mettle at the third annual Sherman County Sprouts Kolache Bake-Off.
The third yearly contest is calling all bakers to put their sweet skills to the test on Friday, June 6th at the Carnegie Business Center, 652 N Street, in Loup City.
Participants of all ages are invited to enter the open-class competition by bringing their kolache entries to the top floor, front door of the business center during the registration/ drop-off period, between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Assistance will be available to carry entries inside. The entry fee is four dozen kolaches— any flavor; they may be topped with frosting or crumbles. Extra kolaches are welcome, and appreciated, to help support the ongoing efforts of Sherman County Sprouts 4-H Club.
