A MESSAGE OF FAITH
Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust; for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead. —Isaiah 26:19 This is a gospel promise with a double blessing: “Thy dead men shall live.”
By nature, we are dead in trespasses and sin. Our spiritual death is an active enmity against God. We do not know him rightly, we do not love him, and we do not praise him. And so we miss the purpose of our life and are lost for eternity— unless dead men live.
