Late rally not enough for LouPlatte girls

Three former Rebel players represent in annual event

Under the bright lights of Minden High School, the LouPlatte Conference All-Stars took on the best of the Southwest Conference in the annual New West All-Star Classic last Thursday evening.

On the back of a late scoring surge from Ord’s Claire Cargill and St. Paul’s Charlee Wegner, the team from the LouPlatte erased a sizable first half deficit to bring the contest to within one possession going into the fourth frame. However, down the stretch, the Southwest Conference was able to hold on for a 53-44 victory.
