Among our other activities this spring, the Sherman County Historical Society has applied for a Nebraska State Historical Marker to commemorate the first woman doctor in Sherman County, Mary Ann Keller Hendrickson. Getting a Historical marker placed can be a long process. In fact, at this point, the Sherman County Historical Society doesn’t know if their application will be approved.
However, Hendrickson’s story is interesting and worth sharing.
