Outhouse enjoyed dessert first, so as not to fill up

I have a correction to make—A. B. Outhouse died in 1945 (not 1925 as reported in the May 28th article in this newspaper).

The Outhouse/Owens family is our Featured Family for 2025, as you will recall. A. B. was active in many civic organizations, not just the manager and later the owner of Keystone Lumber Company and one of the Loup City banks. Some of his civic interests included being chairman of the Loup City Village Board in 1893 and later being mayor from 1913 until 1915. A. B.’s son, A. R.

(Slick) was mayor from 1930 until 1934.
