Dead Horse fills, leaves water “nowhere to go”
Sherman County received heavy rains over the course of last week—especially in the Loup City vicinity. Rains estimated to have surpassed seven inches in areas caused rivers to run high, county roads to scour, and roads both in the county and in town to flood.
Loup City Public Works Director Kevin Holcomb said that the rains were especially taxing on the municipal stormwater system.
