Loup City Public Schools (LCPS) welcomes a new elementary principal in the 2025–2026 academic year. Paul Barker, a longtime educator who has taken on administrative roles in both Alaska and Nebraska, joins his wife, second grade teacher Katie Barker, at the district.
“Things are going really great,” said the new principal last week, shortly before the start of the academic year. “I feel fortunate to be here.
“I’m excited to be back on the elementary side as an elementary school principal,” he added. “And I’m eager for the school year to begin.”
