It was a strong start to the season for Ansley- Litchfield when the Spartans made the drive up United States Route 183 for their first race of the year.
Thursday morning, the Spartans competed at the Burwell Cross Country Invite a Calamus Golf Course. At the Longhorns’ home meet, the Black and Gold netted two medals.
In the boys’ team race, Kolten Clay climbed the leaderboard after the Spartan came into the chute at 15:50.81. Clay placed sixth with that time, narrowly edging past Luke Kester of Summerland. The Bobcat clocked in at 15:58.99.
