Litchfield Rural Fire District #6 received a $15,000 Community Impact Grant and a $10,000 FCSAmerica’s Working Here Fund grant to purchase a LIFEPAK 35 monitor and defibrillator.
The two grants will help the Litchfield Rural Fire District #6 to purchase a LIFEPAK 35 monitor and defibrillator. This device would replace two outdated pieces of equipment. The new device will offer more accurate methods to monitor the patients and transmit results to the hospitals enroute to ensure everyone is prepared when the patient arrives at the hospital.
“A LIFEPAK 35 will allow of the Litchfield EMS to provide better care and better monitoring of patients,” said Alyssa Reynolds, ambulance captain. “With a thirty-plus-mile transport distance to the nearest hospital, we want to be able to provide our patients with the best care possible.”
