Thanks to generous donations of labor and funds from society members, community members, and local organizations, the Sherman County Historical Society (SCHS) recently installed a new picnic shelter.
Both SCHS President Donna Trompke and Vice President Mark Nabity said last week that the shelter was proving a boon to the society, to local residents, and to people from out of town.
“We got it put up before Polish Days,” noted Trompke. “We had a lot of people using it then, and at Junk Jaunt.”
