FORT KEARNY CONFERENCE VOLLEYBALL
The Ansley-Litchfield Spartans took home a fourth-place finish in last week’s Fort Kearny Conference Volleyball Tournament after falling to the eventual conference champions from Amherst and the Sumner-Eddyville-Miller (S-E-M) Mustangs.
The Broncos, led by a standout performance from Libby Mitchell, had the upper hand at the net right away in Tuesday’s semifinal round. Amherst never trailed in the opening set and ran away with a 25-16 victory, despite a late surge from the Spartans.
