A MESSAGE OF FAITH
Loss has a way of shaking us to the core. Whether it’s the loss of a loved one, a dream, or a season of life, it leaves a hollow ache that words often can’t fill. In those moments, faith can feel distant—like a fragile flame flickering in the wind. Yet Scripture reminds us that faith is not the absence of pain, but the choice to trust God through it.
In John 11, we find Mary and Martha grieving the death of their brother, Lazarus. They knew Jesus could have healed him, and they didn’t hide their disappointment: “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.” (John 11:21) Still, even in their sorrow, they believed in who Jesus was. Their faith didn’t erase their grief—it anchored them in it.
