BENNETT PARK
A key figure that helped keep Loup City in the holiday spirit was memorialized on Sunday, December 7th, as members of the Dorsey family gathered for the dedication of a new bench at Bennett Park in downtown Loup City.
Georgia “Georgie” L. Dorsey, who passed away on August 16th at the age of ninety-one, realized a dream in 2007 to decorate the downtown park for Christmas. That tradition continues today. Volunteers have kept Dorsey’s dream alive, with the park being a popular place to take in the holiday lights.
