SHERMAN COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY
Saturday, the Sherman County Historical Society and Hometown Heroes hosted Humanities Nebraska speaker Janie York. She shared information about women and their role in shaping our country. Abigail Adams, wife of John Adams, asked her husband to “Remember the Ladies.” The PBS film by Ken Burns, Sarah Botstein, and David Schmidt, “The American Revolution,” was the basis for her presentation.
Remember, the Sherman County Historical Society will be having a potluck meal on January 11, 2026, at the Elsner/Clark Exhibit Hall at 12:30 p.m. After the meal participants will be looking at some photos that the museum needs help in identifying people, places, and events. Members started working on this huge donation last year, and they hope they can continue the project this year.
