A MESSAGE OF FAITH
Preparing for the future is a theme woven throughout Scripture, not as an exercise in anxiety or control, but as an act of faithful stewardship. Proverbs 21:5 reminds us, “The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty.” God does not discourage planning; rather, He calls us to prepare with wisdom, patience and trust.
Preparing for the future begins with recognizing that tomorrow is ultimately in God’s hands. James 4:13–15 cautions against boasting about our plans without acknowledging the Lord’s will. This does not mean we abandon preparation; instead, it invites us to plan humbly, holding our goals loosely while seeking God’s guidance. True preparation starts in prayer, asking God to align our hearts with His purposes.
