Local students have fun, explore science

Science moved into Loup City Public Schools (LCPS) in a big way on Friday, February 27th, when the Edgerton Explorit Center out of Aurora came to town.

LCPS students from kindergarten through fifth grade watched science demonstrations on bubbles, different states of matter, various types of electricity, and the scientific process during the visit last week. Outside of the demonstrations, they also were able to spend class time in the handson interactive zone.

Asked his thoughts on the program, Benjamin Glinsmann, LCPS second grader and “young Jedi” during the demonstration on electricity, stated, “I think it’s cool!”
