At midpoint, Meyer highlights legislature’s work

NEBRASKA LEGISLATURE

The sixty-day session of the 109th Nebraska Legislature has now passed its midpoint. Most committee hearings are complete, and floor debate is intensifying as lawmakers turn their attention to budget negotiations and key policy decisions.

District 41 Senator Fred Meyer said Monday that the tone inside the Nebraska Legislature is focused, although a large number of bills and continued filibustering continue to gum the body’s wheels.
