SHERMAN COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY
The Sherman County Historical Society has been applying for grants, which allow us to make improvements to its facilities, purchase needed items, etc. It’s these grants (plus memorials and donations) that enable the historical society to do more than pay their monthly utility bills, insurance, copy machine toner and ink, and postage. Yes, the historical society does receive aid from the county, and it certainly does help, but it does not cover all of the organization’s necessary operating expenses. And the volunteers contribute immensely to the mission—both with their donated time and with their resources. The volunteers obviously love Sherman County history and they give back to the community through their involvement in this organization. It takes the whole village working together to make our organization the showpiece
that it is!
