Several members of the Loup City High School speech team will perform at the Class D state speech contest at Kearney High School this Saturday, March 28th. The outfit’s state bids come following the District D1-4 competition in Spalding last week. There, Loup City secured 222 points for second place, coming between the first-place hosts from Riverside and third-place Central Valley.

“I thought the team responded well to a very competitive district,” said Loup City Head Speech Coach Kyle Knaub of the results last week. “We knew it was going to be a tough contest, and our kids represented well.”
