The heart of Easter

Easter is more than a date on the calendar or a gathering with family— it is the foundation of Christian hope. At its core, Easter tells the story of life overcoming death, of light breaking through darkness, and of God’s love proving stronger than the grave.

On Good Friday, it seemed as though all was lost. Jesus was crucified, buried, and mourned. The disciples were filled with fear and confusion. But Sunday changed everything. The empty tomb declared a truth that still echoes today: death does not have the final word.

As it says in Matthew 28:6, “He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.” Those words are the turning point of history. The resurrection is not just an event to remember—it is a promise to live by.
