Teams from Loup City, Arcadia, and Litchfield sent qualifiers to the Nebraska School Activities Association State Speech Contest at Kearney High School on Saturday, March 28th.
The state contest brought together top qualifiers from across Nebraska, with students advancing through district competition earlier in the season. Competitors performed in preliminary rounds, with the top six in each event advancing to finals, where medals are decided.
Of the three schools, Caydence Feldman of Litchfield took home the sole medal, placing fourth in Extemporaneous Speaking. However, several other competitors finished within a place or two of the stand.
