Historical society prepping for summer events

SHERMAN COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY

Recently, the Nebraska Museum Association (NMA) held their annual conference, with a record number of attendees. This year it was in Beatrice; next year it will be in Mc-Cook. At the annual meeting, officers and area representatives were elected. The Sherman County Historical Museum’s Donna Trompke will be one of the two area representatives to the Nebraska counties in Area 2 for the next three years.

Trompke’s job is to visit museums while promoting NMA. Trompke said she looks forward to getting ideas on how to better display the items in the Sherman County Historical Society’s collection—one of the benefits of visiting some of the museums.
