NEBRASKA LEGISLATURE
The second session of the 109th Legislature adjourned sine die last Friday, April 13th. District 41 Senator Fred Meyer described the sixty-day short session on Monday as “frugal,” one defined by the state’s budget deficit and lawmakers’ attempts to balance cutting spending and maintaining key services.
“We did get the budget passed,” said the senator. “We failed twice on Select [File].”
