Community Clean-Up Day being planned in Loup City

With timing that comes just ahead of Memorial Day and the annual Polish Days celebration, residents of Loup City are encouraged to roll up their sleeves and come together for the annual Community Cleanup Day on Saturday, May 16th. The event is part of an ongoing effort to enhance the appearance, safety, and pride of the community.

Volunteers will gather at 9:00 a.m. at the Loup City Community Center Parking Lot, where teams will be organized and assigned to cleanup projects across town. A designated drop-off site at the City Yards (corner of 10th & N) will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for appliances, furniture, and miscellaneous items. Please note: no tires, paint, chemicals, batteries, or oil will be accepted at this location.

A volunteer-led curbside haul-away service will also be available throughout town for large items, rim-free tires, batteries, and yard waste. Community members needing assistance are encouraged to sign up in advance so volunteers can be matched where help is most needed.
