A Sherman County institution has been placed on one of the state’s most extensive travel lists, part of a state-wide effort to spotlight Nebraska’s history and natural beauty.
The Sherman County Historical Society is among 254 locations included in the 2026 WanderNebraska program, a statewide initiative of the Nebraska State Historical Society that sends visitors to museums, historic sites, and cultural attractions spanning communities large and small across the state. This year marks the fifth for the program, as well as the fifth in which the local historical society has taken part. The initiative runs from May 1st through September 30th.
“It works kind of like the passport program that Nebraska has,” noted Sherman County Historical Society
