Kathy was born on September 19, 1943, in Loup City. Kathy attended Loup City High School and graduated from Hastings College.
Kathy will always be remembered by her smile, warmth, and generosity.
Her very presence made the world a better place.
Some of Kathy’s happiest moments were socializing with her Flynn and Ritz cousins, family vacations-mystery trips, and spending time with Wayne, her devoted and loving husband of fifty- eight years. The roles she enjoyed the most were being a wife, mother, and grandmother “Mama.”
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Declan and Minnie Flynn. She is survived by her brother, Declan Flynn (Joan). Kathy is also survived by her husband Wayne. Kathy and Wayne were blessed with three children: Kara Larsen (Troy), David Gappa (Julie), and Mindy Stuckey (Scott), and ten grandchildren: Ava, Garrett, Greta, and Wyatt Larsen; Jais and Cole Gappa; and Maeve, Flynn, Hattie, and Shepard Stuckey. They will forever treasure her memory.
There will be a private family celebration of life. Kathy would want you to do something special for yourself, but should you wish to honor her memory in another way, please consider First Presbyterian Church, 4511 Sixth Avenue, Kearney, Nebraska 68845 or a charity close to your heart. “It is because of you, Jesus, that we have hope and are sure of a forever life.
