David was united in marriage to Bernice C. “Bunny” Sturek on September 14, 1954, in St. Paul. The couple lived and farmed in the Farwell and Loup City areas. David was a member of the Ashton American Legion Post 108 and Knights of Columbus Council No. 1918 of St. Paul. He also served on various boards and belonged to the Farwell and Ashton community clubs.
