He lived in Dwight, North Dakota until 1949 when his family moved to Loup City, Nebraska. In 1969, Jimmy moved to Broken Bow, where he worked at Mid-Nebraska Workshop doing various trades such as Becton Dickinson and Company Medical Supplies, ceramics, woodworking, and drove a truck to Ord and Grand Island delivering lumber to other workshops. He then lived independently and worked at JC Penny’s and the Broken Bow Public Library. Jimmy loved driving his car visiting towns around the Broken Bow area. He could tell you who had the best coffee in each town. Jimmy enjoyed going to Sherman Dam by Loup City to the cabin, riding in the boat, and spending time with family. His siblings took him on vacation to various states: Arizona, California, Texas, Tennessee, South Dakota, North Dakota, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, and Wyoming. Jimmy moved to the Stanton Health Center in March 2014. He loved going for rides to Norfolk to eat; Yankton to look at the Meridian Bridge; and most of all to Blackbird Bend Casino.
Jimmy is survived by two sisters and brothersin- law, Marsha (Ron) Eurek of Omaha and Mary (Jim) Dooley of Norfolk and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother and sister-in-law, Theodore (Margaret) Larson; and sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen (John) Kerner.
